How did this happen?

This wasn't planned, but when the opportunity presented itself, I could not resist. We'll see what happens. How did it happen? Yesterday I wanted to post a comment on someone else's blog, but it required that I register. I guess the comment was important enough (even though it was about something pretty insignificant) to go ahead this time. So today I get asked to verify my e-mail and password, and when I did that, there was the option to start a blog. I can think of things to write, but I'll first think a little about what this might be good for. More later, perhaps.
